Add a few drops of almond extract with a tablespoon of sugar to pancake or waffle batter for a little extra flavor.
Wanna know my secret. I fry up some bacon in a little EVOO until super crispy. Then, I drain the fried bacon on some paper towels or what have you and sprinkle them with a bit a brown sugar and cinnamon. Once you are ready to pour your waffle mix onto the griddle, get your bacon ready. Pour the mix and set the bacon strips on top of it. When them come out you have a potable instant breakfast. So good and if you want to make it healthy that is easy. Just add more EVOO to the mix and use turkey bacon. Plus if you are concerned about butter, just replace it with an EVOO margarine.

I like to put either fresh berries or banana, and a little bit of honey on my waffles.
When I make french toast, I put vanilla extract, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg in the egg mix, and a little bit of honey. I like to make it with cinnamon raisin bread. Yum-o! lol
Never say "I can't." Say "I'll try"

My husband taught me his trick to making pancakes that he learned before we got married. He adds in instant oatmeal, like peaches and cream, strawberries and cream, blueberries and cream or bananas and cream. Then he tosses in a handful of chopped walnuts. The bananas and cream are especially yummy with the walnuts.

These all sound so good. I add a little cinnamon and sometimes a little bit of vanilla.
Also chop up some apples and add cinnamon. So good.
