Orange-Scented Cornbread

Orange zest adds a little something special to ordinary cornbread.

Ingredients

  • 2 box corn bread mix, recommended brand Jiffy
  • Zest of 1 navel orange
  • 1 teaspoon coarse black pepper
  • 1/4 cup honey

Yields: 6-8 servings


Preparation

Transfer to a 8x8 baking dish and bake according to package directions. Remove from the oven and then cut into wedges or squares.

Preheat the oven according to package directions. Prepare the cornbread according to package directions. Stir in the orange zest, black pepper and honey.
