The Food Network's Ace of Cakes star Duff uses drills, blowtorches and even firecrackers to create a sensation with his cakes -- unusual techniques that actually came to him naturally when he started to design desserts. "I was a graffiti artist. Being a graffiti artist you break rules," Duff explains. "So I was just kind of doing things the way I thought they should be done ... instead of getting like the little tiny creme brulee torch I got the big giant butane thing."

When Rachael jokes he must have a high insurance rate, he admits that he's got limitations. "I'm not allowed to sell any cakes with fireworks," Duff says. "There was one episode where it showed me making a cake for my dad that had fireworks shooting out the back of it, and my insurance agent called me the next day and said, 'If you ever sell a cake with fireworks in it I will drop you like a bad apple.'"

When Rachael insists that she can't bake, Duff offers her just the encouragement she needs along with some double duty tips! Click through the image gallery on the right and find out how to use a wine bottle and a pizza wheel to create a dazzling dessert.
