Samantha walked into a program for the deaf 16 years ago when she was only 2 1/2 -- and instantly gravitated toward Addriana because of the interpreter's long, beautiful hair. Their friendship continued to grow as the years went by...as did their hair! Eight years ago they made a pact that they would not to cut their hair until they parted ways. They both held true to their promise. Now that Samantha is heading off to college and Addriana is starting a new life with her husband, they know it's time for a symbolic gesture of their impending separation. Samantha and Addriana will keep in touch, and their hair will be donated to Locks of Love.
