If you've just started clipping coupons and are already lost in the myriad of deals and rules and mysterious abbreviations, Judy Pezza from TLC's Extreme Couponing can help you begin saving like a pro!

• Find local deals. "Go online and do a search for "Coupon Blog" and add where you live. You'll find the top five sites, check out a few and pick one you like and use that one like it's a dictionary. It will tell you things like, if you go to this store there will be these deals, and match up the coupons from your inserts."

• Decipher the abbreviations. "It's really simple, they're just acronyms they put out there to make it faster for the bloggers to say, go uses this:"
RP = Redplum. "That is a circular you'll get in your Sunday paper, and you can also go to their website, Redplum.com, and print coupons out from there."
SS = Smartsource. "That is another insert you'll get in your paper and you can use Smartsource.com as well.
GC = Gift Card. "It might say if you get this deal like, buy two of this specific makeup or whatever the product is, you'll get back a $5 store gift card that you can use on your next purchase."
MQ = Manufacturer's Coupon. "What I love about this now with social media and Facebook is that if you do a search for a manufacturer on Facebook and Like their page, if they don't have a special that day it'll be another day and you'll get a message saying there is a special deal today or you can print out their coupon because they want you to get their product."
CAT = Catalina. "These coupons specifically print out at the register once you pay. It could be money off another purchase."

• Get free money! "Say you have a 75-cent coupon for a three-bar pack of soap, but the soap this week is only a dollar. Now if your store doubles coupons, you're saving $1.50 on a product on sale for a dollar, so that gives you fifty cents extra. If you buy 10 of that product, that gives you $5. But they may not necessarily give you that money, but you can use that money towards other items in the store."
