"Bionic" Animals

Some three-legged dogs and even a dolphin in need of a fin are benefiting from prosthetic limbs that change their lives while providing new hope for people, too! "If it will work on an animal, there's a great chance it will work on a human!" says Veterinarian Dr. Ernie Ward, who sees a particular need for these medical advances. "We're dealing with lots of war veterans with some horrific injuries and we're sort of looking at things in a different light."
