Picking out your clothes can be challenging enough every day, but when it's time to put together an outfit for a wedding or family occasion the pressure can really make you fret! "Women have a lot of different things to worry about," says What Not to Wear's Clinton Kelly. "How short should the dress be? How long should it be? How much cleavage should you show?" To help you avoid a major style blunder, he is pointing out three viewer's fashion don'ts so your next look is memorable for the right reasons!

Showing too much skin. It's OK to reveal a bit of cleavage or show off your legs, but not both for a more formal affair. "Choose one area of skin to show - not all!" Clinton says, while offering a guide for skirt length. "For a special event don't go higher than mid-thigh, that is as high as you should go. Most women should [even] stay around the kneecap."

Wearing Ugg boots with a dress. "If you do not like wearing heels, you can find comfort brands," he says, noting you can find something with a lower heel that is still dressy. "The shoe always sets the tone for an outfit. Think about it, a sexy shoe makes you feel sexy." For evening, the height of the heel is not crucial. "Don't feel like you've got to wear a 6-inch heel for evening, sometimes you can wear just an inch or two. Just a little bit makes a big difference."

Unitards for big occasions. "This is an absolute do not ever do!" Clinton says. "Even Jane Fonda stopped wearing the unitard." If comfort is the goal, he suggests a simple dress that is flattering to your figure. "For special occasions, you don't have to be uncomfortable!"
