Cooking in Cramped Quarters
Despite her small kitchen, Peggy demonstrates how she's learned to maximize her space using these tips:
• Stick with the basics. You can still cook a gourmet meal on portable appliances. If you've got a hot plate, a toaster oven and an electric grill, you're good to go.
• Be creative when it comes to storage. Peggy uses walls and every nook and cranny she can find, including using her bookcase as a pantry.
• Have double vision. "There's nowhere I could put fancy salad bowls," Peggy says, "so I just use the same bowl for everything."
