Elisabeth Hasselbeck & Her Mom
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is celebrating her mom's "sweet 16" - 16 years as a breast cancer survivor. For National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, they are encouraging all women to get mammograms and are partnering with Procter & Gamble's Do Something Beautiful campaign, which donates 10 cents to early detection programs for every person who "likes" P&G's Beauty page on Facebook. "You're not only going to 'like' it, you're going to love it," Elisabeth says, "because that means a woman's life is saved with detection."
The View host was a senior in high school when her mom, Elizabeth Delpadre, was diagnosed. Both of Elisabeth's grandmothers also had breast cancer, so she says, “Chances are I’m going to get it. But I promise you I’m going to get it early because I’m checking all the time.”
