When Rachael crashed the set of CSI:NY, Gary Sinise told her that he had a really fun pasta recipe that he would share if he ever came on her show. He makes good on his promise when he shows Rachael how to make "Gary's Kids Pasta."
Gary's impressed with Rachael's take on his recipe. "This looks much better than the way I make it!" he says. In return for sharing his recipe, Rachael gives her specialty, "Oh My! Pasta."
Gary still has one more promise left to keep. "You said you were going to bring the Lt. Dan Band," Rachael reminds him. "Are we on your roster?" Rachael assures Gary that there's plenty of room for his 11-member band, which has completed four tours with the USO and played for troops stationed all around the world.
"On my second trip to Iraq, I visited schools over there, so we were able to see the kids," Gary explains. "Then we started sending school supplies over to the troops about 2 1/2 years ago. The troops take them out all over the country and give them to the kids. Operation Iraqi Children has been a very positive thing for both the kids and the troops."
Watch the video above to see Gary talk about his own kids, and his brother-in-law's method for keeping an eye on his teenage son.
