When Teri Hatcher visited Rachael's kitchen, she sported a hot pair of red jeans. Colored jeans are one of the biggest trends for fall, but picking out the right pair to complement your look takes some work. Gretta has some suggestions for those who want to dive into this trend but aren't sure where to begin.

Ease into the trend with blue or green jeans. "Going with red right off the bat can freak some people out," Gretta advises. "If you go with the blue or green families, they can be really bright or they can be in washed out grey tones or rustic colors so it's easy to move from black or brown jeans."

The colored jeans trend is for all ages. Gretta suggests, "Kids should go bright, moms should go into the colors that are deeper and darker. The reason why is because the deeper and darker colors go with the other things in an adult's wardrobe and they're more flattering than bright colors."

Boot cut or flared jeans flatter most body types. "Straight jeans are going to be more of an extreme look," Gretta warns. "A boot or flared look usually balances out a woman's hips and booty because it doesn't come down into a tapered look. If you are going to go with a flare, which brings you more into a wide-leg look, you have to go up on your wedge or heel. The boot cut you can wear with lower shoes."

Neutral colors complement bright colored jeans. "Going head-to-toe with one color is too strong. One color looks a little more junior, like a big Crayola crayon" Gretta says. "It's terrific to go into all the neutral colors that you have. Greys, browns, all your classic colors look terrific. You're going to see all the celebrities wearing a black top with a colored bottom."
