Human Cosmetics Lab
The last time Gretta conducted a "Human Lab" experiment, three women donned the latest runway fashions to see if they could pull off the trendy looks in everyday life. Now, three more brave women volunteer to show the world their beauty flaws to see if a few "miracle" rejunventating products actually work!
Cellulite
"I'm 32-years-old, but if you were to look at my thighs, you'd think I was about a 50-year-old woman!" Nicole says. She's looking to get rid of the cellulite that forces her to wear sarongs around her waist when she goes to the beach. So she tests the Orlane Paris Slimming Countouring System. After a few weeks, can she see results? "It took away the dents and the dimples I had from the cellulite," she confesses, "and if you look at the back of my thighs, I have my little Beyoncé going on -- it's fabulous!" Gretta says this is the "Rolls Royce" of treatments, but for everyday use she suggests trying Vaseline Intensive Care Active Firming Lotion.
Wrinkles
Sharon is 44-years-old and is tired of the wrinkles making her look like she's in her 60s. "I've tried every rich cream to see if that smooths it out, but I still have my lines," she laments. After several weeks of using Tua Viso, a handheld electrostimulator, Sharon says she's definitely noticed a difference. "So far I've seen more firmness in the skin, and it has more of a glow to it." Gretta explains the theory behind the device. "If you stimulate the surface of the skin," she says, "you stimulate circulation and you're going feel absolute results right away of a glow." As Rach puts it, "It's like a little mini masseuse for you face." For those looking to just "dip their feet" into the pool of these kinds of treatments, Gretta suggests the Dove SkinVitalizer as a good starting point.
Sagging
Andria is insecure about her breasts and is dreading having to pick out a dress for her upcoming wedding. "I feel like they used to be facing the world, and now they're facing my feet," she says. Sampar Bust Cream. I like that it's improved the overall appearance of my bust line and I'm actually kind of excited about trying on wedding dresses." How does it work? "They're using a particular ingredient called biopeptides," Gretta explains. "It's just beyond a basic moisturizer -- it creates a thicker film and they say it creates a little bit of an 'invisible bra.'" Gretta points out that Avon Bust Sculpt Contouring Cream also contains similar biopeptides for those looking for another alternative.
