Melanie is such a big fan of Rachael that she actually exchanged the pearl earrings she received for her bat mitzvah so she could buy a Rachael Ray knife! When Rachael decides that she just has to meet a girl who would exchange jewelry for cutlery, Melanie is left speechless!

Rachael invites Melanie back to the studio, and the 13-year-old aspiring chef has a question for her idol. "Since you always cook with bacon and prosciutto," she asks, "what could I use since I'm kosher?" Rachael replies, "You just need a little bit of a smoky flavor in your food, so you have a lot of options. You can use smoked turkey, or skip the meat all together and use smoked paprika or a nice smoky cumin which has an aroma to it." Melanie can try out some new recipes with a set of pots and pans from Rachael!
