"Anyone who tells you their marriage is perfect and they don't fight is full of garbage."

"Sometimes I don't have the energy to be a good mom and a good wife."

"I wish she knew how hard I work and how little appreciation I feel."

Sound familiar? These honest admissions come from hundreds of women and men who revealed their deepest secrets about their marriages for a new book aimed at helping couples communicate. The authors got their title, I'd Trade My Husband for a Housekeeper, from one of the overwhelmed moms they spoke with who dreamed of getting more help around the house. "We're just tired!" says author and mom Trisha Ashworth. "You'd trade him for a chef, or you'd trade him for a wife, or you'd trade him for a girlfriend! ... There is so much pressure in modern motherhood that we feel like we need a little help."

Lots of the women she and her co-author spoke with expressed the same frustrations - their husbands are not doing enough around the house, while the guys noted feeling stressed by such demands despite their efforts to do the best for the families. "We're sort of at this impasse," notes author Amy Noble, "so one of the messages in the book is to really sit down and talk to each other about the pressures that we feel and talk to each other about - what do you need in this relationship?"

Rachael asks the authors how couples can ease those tensions when parenting and household chores overwhelm their marriage. "Remember why you married this guy in the first place. He has great qualities," Amy suggests. "After you have kids it's easy to forget about those qualities!"

So what would happen if you really traded your husband for a housekeeper? Click on the video and meet a viewer who challenges her man to go head-to-head with a professional to see who makes the best breakfast and does the best job cleaning the bathroom!
