"I've Never Used a Coupon!"

Each year, $400 billion worth of coupon savings are printed, yet less than 1% of those coupons are ever claimed. Allison, 39, admits that she's among those who never clip. "I don't see how 20 cents or 30 cents is going to be worthwhile in my grocery bill," she states. Finance expert Bill Rancic has some shocking news for her; if Allison just spent 20-30 minutes a week collecting coupons, she could knock off $6,500 a year on what she spends on groceries, clothing, gas and dining out for her family.

"That's amazing!" she says in disbelief. Bill's first tip for her: be organized. Most people dread having to look for the coupons they've clipped, so Bill suggests keeping them in your car's glove compartment or visor so you'll always have them when you're out shopping.

Next, Bill tells Allison that while magazines and newspapers are great resources for coupons, it's 2009 - search online! He explains that there are websites that give you all the coupons available in your area based on your zip code. And you can get double the savings on those coupons by asking the manager of your supermarket when they do double coupon days.
