Rachael calls a truce with Jeff Probst, whose previous visits to the show have left each of them enduring tough challenges. She tells the Survivor host, "I've tormented you, you've tormented me. Today we have quite a setup here and we are going to torment other people."

Three soap opera stars agree to see who can last the longest hanging from a rope in the first "Soap-ivor" challenge called "Soap on a Rope!" Vying for the trophy and a seat at Rachael's kitchen table are Brandon Buddy from One Life to Live, All My Children's Chrishell Stause, and Kane Manera from Guiding Light. When Rachael asks Brandon what he would want with him if he were on the real Survivor, he tries to cozy up to the judges. "Rachael, that would be you," he says. "The way you cook? I would never starve."

Rachael thanks him for the compliment and says "I love this game!"

The three climb on the ropes and get started, giving Rachael and Jeff some time to chat about the 17th season of Survivor. "We're in Gabon, which is in Africa," Jeff says. "It's actually probably the most remote place we've ever been." The competitors are living among elephants and gorillas, and face grueling challenges as they compete for the big prize, but that's not what makes the show such a huge success. "The show is about the people. It always is," he says. "You either like them or you don't, and if you do, it's a good season."

Back over at the challenge, the soap stars see their first competitor literally drop out as Brandon hits the floor. When dinner is ready, Kane is showing signs of struggle and Chrishell continues to dangle effortlessly so Rachael decides it's time to step in and name the winner. "I say it's a tie," Rachael decides. "Chrishell gets the trophy but I'll feed them both."
