Jillian Michaels
When it comes to staying in shape, Rachael says she's all about the push-ups and calisthenics. But in order to get the most out of her workouts -- and still be able to enjoy her pasta -- she turns to Jillian Michaels. The Biggest Loser trainer, whose new book is called, Master Your Metabolism, explains that Rachael can still have her beloved pasta, but it should be whole wheat. "A whole grain is going to be a complex carbohydrate that breaks down more slowly and stabilizes your blood sugar, but bleached pasta, white flower pasta has all sorts of chemicals that go into it," Jillian explains. "A lot of these things have chemicals that damage your metabolism." Rachael agrees to the compromise and says she actually enjoys the nutty flavors of a whole wheat pasta. Jillian is thrilled: "We have a lot of common ground!"
Rachael asks how it's going on the new season of Jillian's reality show, and the tough-as-nails trainer says there have been some truly tense moments as she encourages people to lose hundreds of pounds. "It's incredibly aggressive and it's very hard on them emotionally, and that's why you see them crying and fighting all the time with me," she says. "This season has been extremely confrontational, but I think in the end it's all going to work out."
