Katie's Story

"When the tornado lifted up out of the building, I could see there was no more ceiling and no more wall," recalls Kathy Strunk, a history teacher at Enterprise High, where her daughter was a sophomore. "And I just caught my breath because I knew in that instant that my little girl was gone."

Despite the pain of losing her little girl, Kathie says, "The outpouring of love and support and generosity from this community has really helped us ... You never know when you're in the presence of angels, but you wonder."
