Drizzled Chocolate Cake: Melt chocolate and drizzle it over parchment paper and allow to cool. Peel it off and stick it to the sides/top of a cake.
Pop-Up Cake: Cut out pictures of phrases or fun characters from a coloring book or comic book, place on cardboard and put on toothpicks or skewers to stick in cake and arrange in different heights for decorating.
Licorice Swirl Cake: Take black or red licorice wheels and unravel them to make desired patterns on a cake.
Cookie Cutter Cake: Use a cookie cutter to make impressions of decorations on cake and use as a guide to trace with color gel. Fill in the shape with a different color gel.
Chocolate Curly Cake: Use a peeler to shave pieces of milk chocolate, dark and white chocolate and place curled shavings on top of the cake.
Flower Power Cake: Wrap the stems of flowers with foil and stick in and around the top of a cake in a desired pattern. Note: it is preferable to use edible flowers, but if not, make sure no one eats them.
