No Dumb Questions -- NASA Edition
One of Rachael's proudest moments was having three of her 30-minute meals blasted into space aboard the shuttle Discovery. "My mom did not raise a rocket scientist," she says, "but my mom raised someone who knows how to feed a rocket scientist!" Now Rachael is heading back to the experts at NASA to find out if there's anything astronauts can't eat in space. But instead of going to Houston, Rachael's going a bit further this time -- outer space!
Through a video link-up with the International Space Station, Expedition 18 Commander Mike Fincke and Flight Engineer Greg Chamitoff explain that they can eat almost anything (though they must add water to the dehydrated foods), but since there's no refrigerator on board, what they miss the most are cold drinks and ice cream!
