Rachael's Jewelry Tips
- Rachael helps one viewer find affordable, stylish jewelry and gives her tips on how to wear her new pieces.
Rachael's Rules on Jewelry:
Set your own trends and do what you want to do -- what's considered 'in' may not be 'in' for you.
Mix and match your pieces to create whole new looks.
You don't need an outrageous outfit to wear a big necklace.
Big, chunky pieces are great on their own.
There's no need to spend more than $50 or $60 on a piece.
Costume jewelry is great for many reasons: If you travel a lot or are prone to losing things, you won't miss a piece of costume jewelry as much as you would a valuable piece. If you have pets or small children who might grab at your chains and break them, you won't cry if your necklace gets broken if you didn't spend a lot of money on it.
Banana Republic's stuff is beautiful. Also, the longer pieces are more versitile because they can be doubled up or be left long for a dramatic look.
Big chains dress up a regular t-shirt or turtleneck and blazer into an outfit. They work for every season and really make an outfit. Rachael gets hers from Club Monaco.
Vintage is really cool and always affordable.
Antique stores and flea markets are great places to find vintage jewelry.
