Jacqueline, 31, had no sooner finished signing the papers to buy her family's new home when she got a whispered warning from the seller: the fridge beeps. "It wasn't until we spent the first night in the house that we realized what that meant," she sighs, explaining that whether the refrigerator door is closed or ajar, it beeps incessantly. Jacqueline has tried everything from redistributing the weight inside the fridge to full body slams against the door, but the noise continues.
