Rachael opens the mailbag to answers some viewer questions:

"I watched Rachael Ray while giving birth ... WHAT DID I MISS THAT DAY?!"

Kimberlie from South Carolina never misses an episode of the show -- but on March 29, 2007, she had a good excuse for not catching the whole show -- she was giving birth to her son Dalton! When Kimberlie asks what she missed that day, Rachael lets the show's guest tell her themselves.

"How do I 'wow' my customers?"

Robin from New Jersey is a food demonstrator who's looking for some advice to spice up her business. "I'm having a little trouble wowing my customers," she admits. "You wow us every day, so what can you give me?" Rachael, who used to teach 30 Minute Meals from a grocery store, gives Robin a few tips that worked for her:

  • Make the kids smile first. Mom and Dad like to keep the kids happy during errands, so try to catch the kids and ask them if they'd like to try something.

  • Wear bright colors. Bright colors tend to attract people. And perhaps wear a v-neck to woo the fellas!

  • Be friendly and outgoing. People are more apt to stop by your station if you have a smile on and lots of enthusiasm in your voice.

"How can I fire someone?"

Daniel runs a successful restaurant in New Jersey, but sometimes finds himself in the position of having to fire someone. "This is very hard because I don't want to come across as one of those overbearing, ruthless bosses," he says. "Can you give me a little advice on how to make this a bit easier?"

Rachael says that growing up in the restaurant business, she often saw her mother Elsa fire people. "She always looked them straight in the eye and let them know why," she says, "but she always gave them a few chances first!" Since she's not an authority on firing people herself, Rachael enlists the help of someone whose dad is known for the phrase, "You're fired!" -- Ivanka Trump.

"I think the most useful advice," Ivanka shares, "is to give somebody tools that will be useful to them in their next job so that they can be successful in performing whatever task it was that they were doing for you -- or hopefully, more successful!"
