The Contestants Get Cooking!
While the contestants race the clock in the prep kitchen, Rachael pops in to see how they are doing with their "express meals." Each cook has 30 minutes to create a dish using six base ingredients and then up to four more items from Rachael's pantry, and then Ming will decide their fate.
Here's how it breaks down:
Angie: smoked ham, bell peppers, frozen corn, sweet potatoes, Swiss chard, low fat sour cream
Pat: turkey bacon, ground turkey, asparagus, artichoke hearts, instant polenta, hearts of romaine
Pete: fresh pork sausage, vine-ripe tomatoes, snow peas, couscous, spinach, Parmesan Reggiano
Suzanne: spicy smoked sausage, mushrooms, green beans, yellow squash, whole wheat penne, radiccio.
