Russell Brand
For the first time ever, Rachael is joined by a co-host for the entire show when British bad boy Russell Brand stops by! The comedian explains that although America is gearing up for Thanksgiving, he will be celebrating in a different way. "That, for us, was a terrible day because I'm English," Russell says. "That's when you took away our power! So on that day, I just sit solemnly alone in a cupboard and weep."
Russell is newly married to pop singer Katy Perry, so Rachael suggests that the couple might want to copy what she and John do every year, taking their families back to where they got married - in Rachael and John's case, Italy. "It sounds like it would be expensive," Russell gasps. "And what about the volatility and natural changes that occur in life? Already, about twenty percent of the people at that wedding I don't talk to anymore! I think it would be nice just to get my wife to come away again - that would be enough!"
Rachael remarks how touched she was by reading Russell's My Booky Wook: A Memoir of Sex, Drugs, and Stand-Up, which featured stories about his mom. "I ain't got no brothers or sisters," Russell says. "I grew up with just my mom and me, so I'm the only son of a single mom. So that makes you very, very close. She was lovely to me, thinking about it ... If I learned to cook, that would make her ever so proud!" So Russell joins Rachael in the kitchen to make Chili Red Lentil Soup after playing a hilarious round of "Stump the Rach" and meeting some of Jarod's wild animals!
