"Russell Roulette" with Russell Brand
When the hilarious Russell Brand was approached to fill the shoes of Dudley Moore in the remake of the classic comedy Arthur, he tells Rachael that he didn't have to think twice about it. "I'm a massive of fan of Dudley Moore and the original Arthur," he explains. "For me, it was a thrill just to be here in New York and make this film that was made by one of my comedy heroes. So I didn't have to think about it or anything, I didn't consider the pros and cons, I just blindly did it."
For the film, the production was granted access to some of New York's iconic landmarks, including Grand Central Terminal after hours. "It was kind of weird because it doesn't seem right," Russell recalls. "It seems sort of ghostly and fantastic when it's empty, like a moment stopped in time. Whereas a child, I used to dream that I could stop time and maybe walk around and take people's stuff or touch people's boobs. It wasn't as good as that, but it was nonetheless an enjoyable experience."
