The Officers of Reno 911!
Before the show, the officers from Reno 911! secure the premises backstage. They may not always get their man, but sometimes they do get their woman -- the wrong woman! Click here to see what happened!
Once order is restored, the officers tell Rachael about their recent trip to a police convention (as documented in the film Reno 911!: Miami), and share some secrets of their department.
Deputy Trudy Wiegel reveals her regimen for staying in shape so she can handle the rigorous life of a police officer. "I usually wake up around noon," she says. "Then I eat like a box or two of Lucky Charms and then I take about a three hour nap."
Lt. Dangle tells Rachael how the busy officers squeeze in time to make a sizzling meal.
"We just use a regular taser," he says. "If you have a taser at home, you can make hot dogs lickity-split. This has about a million volts of electricity, so generally you want to use a riot shield and a taser. It's faster than a microwave."
Deputy Travis Junior shares one of his own culinary inventions with Rachael -- the Cop-uccino. "There's a myth that you need vitamins and minerals to get through a day," the deputy says. "But law enforcement officers? No. You need caffeine and sugar. That's about it."
"Nature's two purest things," Lt. Dangle adds. Combining cola with some coffee cream, donuts and a little EVOO for good measure, Deputy Junior makes a concoction that will allow you to "work 18, 19, 20 hours straight!" Watch the video above to see if Rachael will taste this donut-coffee concoction!
