Gretta's Warehouse Shopping Fashion Finds
Everyone goes to the warehouse wholesale clubs for snack foods and household items, but there are also some great additions for your wardrobe mixed in between those aisles! Gretta's back to show you how to spot the fashion finds on your next shopping trip.
• The clothing is split between standard merchandise, which is 60 percent of the offerings, with the remaining 40 percent reserved for rotating merchandise. The standard items include clothes from designer names that are specifically made for the warehouse club. "The fabrication and the style may be different because the warehouse price point is guaranteed to be the lowest," Gretta notes. "I have to tell you, being that they're the biggest buyer and that they're buying in bulk their quality is really great!" And, you'll find rare deals among the rotating merchandise, which Gretta says is retail, designer quality. "If you see it and you love it grab it, because it might not be there next time!"
• The price tag will help you know if it's a final markdown or could go lower. Some stores mark the tags with the letter C for clearance items and will end the price with an odd change amount to indicate it is the final round of markdowns.
• If you're not sure if something is a great deal, check the label. If it is glued it might be less expensive. "If it's stitched and it has all that extra labor in it, then usually it's a retail-level item."
• Look for deals on bulk containers of shampoo, razors and other beauty items. "It doesn't expire like food, so you don't have to worry about buying too much," Gretta says. "The other thing that's cool is they have special items from a lot of our favorite brands in beauty."
