FDA Issues Onion Consumption Salmonella Warning for Some Onions—Here's What You Should Know

If you haven't heard the latest, as of October 21, 2021, due to a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Oranienburg, the FDA is advising consumers not to eat the following: red, yellow and white onions supplied by ProSource Inc. that were imported from the State of Chihuahua, Mexico from July 1, 2021 through August 27, 2021, or products containing these onions. If you are unsure if onions you purchased or are served were supplied by ProSource Inc and imported from the State of Chihuahua, Mexico, do not eat them; discard them. Click here for updates on the situation from the FDA.
