When it comes to the coolest Halloween-themed activities in the NYC area, The Great Jack O' Lantern Blaze certainly tops the list!

Installed around the Hudson Valley's historic Van Cortlandt Manor (an authentic beaut from the 17th century), the annual Blaze features dozens of spectacular displays crafted from more than 7,000 hand-carved jack o' lanterns. (Yes, those pumpkins you see in the video above are all real!)

And just what are these displays, you ask? A moving pumpkin carousel, dancing pumpkin skeletons, the Pumpkin Planetarium tunnel (where many a proposal has gone down!), and the timely addition of pumpkin-crafted first responder vehicles.

Get a sneak peek at all the spooky gorgeousness at the video above! And keep watching, as Michael Natiello, creative director of The Blaze, shows us what to do to our own pumpkins to get a little bit of that Blaze magic at home.

And remember! As Rach noted, thanks to The Blaze's popularity, it's being extended through November 21st. Check out the full schedule and tickets here!
