Our viewers aren’t the only ones on our show who get makeovers!
Our audience waiting area needed a new look, so we enlisted the help of HGTV star and interior designer Taniya Nayak.
We want to make sure that our studio audience feels just as special as our celebrity guests, so we made this special room even more of a welcoming, friendly place for the people who make our show so special: YOU!
As Taniya mentions, the paint on the walls was chipping, the furniture was banged up, and the floors were peeling,so this room needed some TLC—Taniya loving care! ?
To get started, Taniya replaced the room’s rust-colored walls with a light minty green coat of paint. She then replaced the beat-up floors with LVT, a luxury vinyl tile that resembles real wood. Meanwhile, custom white cabinets got an easy upgrade with a peel-and-stick contact paper, which is a great option if you can’t replace the cabinets completely. (We love using inexpensive beadboard wallpaper as another easy refresh idea!)
After a few more finishing touches, like faux plants and the additions of a few other smaller trinkets, the room was ready for its big reveal!
