Cooking for the cameras isn’t always easy (even though Rach makes it seem that way)!
And Matt Barr from the new CW drama "Valor" learned that firsthand when he visited our show and shared his signature guacamole recipe.

"It was my attempt to be Rachael Ray," he jokes before we rolled the clip. "It’s really hard!"
But if you ask us, Matt was a total pro!
When it comes to his famous dip, he has a few rules of thumb: never skip the jalapenos (because what’s guac without a touch of spice?), throw in some hot sauce (his preference is Cholula) and top it with bacon!

"Even if people say they don’t eat bacon, they do love bacon," Matt insists.
We can’t argue with that (and Rach definitely didn’t either)!
Rach’s pro tip for Matt?
For an extra punch of flavor, she suggests letting the onions, jalapenos, lime juice and salt marinate at the bottom of the bowl before mixing in your tomato and avocado.
Oh, and she totally approves of Matt’s hot sauce addition!
