Our top recipes in June were all over the flavor map, from a pasta with lightened-up cream sauce, to an omelet cooked in a mug, to a fake-out chicken “pizza.” Read on for our 10 most popular June recipes!
10.) Thug Kitchen's Cauliflower Cream Pasta with Fresh Herbs
This recipe from Thug Kitchen: The Official Cookbook lightens up a cream sauce by thickening it with pureed cauliflower, and use non-dairy almond milk as the base. Healthy and yummy!
9.) Grant’s No-Measure Yogurt Cake
Next, we have Grant Melton’s couldn’t-be-easier Yogurt Cake, which is ingenious because you only use the yogurt container for measuring! The resulting cake is moist and delicious and your guests will never know how simple it was to make!
8.) Sunny Anderson's Denver Mug Omelet
This Denver omelet in a mug couldn’t be easier. Add chopped deli ham, cheese and sliced peppers to scrambled eggs, pour into a mug, and cook in the microwave for three minutes!
7.) Roast Meatballs and Tomato-Tarragon Sauce
These hearty and home-y meatballs cook right in the sauce, with the bottom of the meatball getting cooked like a dumpling, and the top getting toasty brown in the oven. Serve simply with toasted bread rubbed with garlic. Yum!
This ultimate comfort food starts with wide pacchieri noodles, which are topped with a meat sauce featuring beef chuck meat and pancetta.
At number five we have this fake-out healthy take on pizza that is actually just thin cooked chicken breast topped with tomato sauce and cheese. Your family won’t miss the dough!
4.) Pasta with Ricotta and Peas
This vibrant green of this dish and the brightness of the lemon flavor will reinforce that spring has arrived. It’s a great dish to throw together after a busy workday, and the rich, creamy Ricotta sauce will win over every member of the family.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, we just respectfully ask you to take a look at that beautiful photo above. It says it all! And this meal cooks up quickly, with a deep flavor developed by browning and cooking all the ingredients in the same cast-iron skillet.
2.) Roasted Pork Chops with Green Beans & Potatoes
These crispy, juicy pork chops took the number two position for two reasons – first the combination of pork roasted over potatoes, green beans and marinated red pepper strips is just delicious. But two and possibly more notably, this dish is super easy and quick to prepare and cooks in only one dish! Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
1.) Grilled Pinwheel Steaks and Roasted Broccoli
And our number one recipe of June -- pinwheel steaks bursting with intense flavor! Roll skirt steaks with lemon zest, herbs and spices, garlic, and Parmigiano-Reggiano, tie, slice and grill. Delish!
