Ingredients

  • 1 cup store-bought ketchup
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cane syrup or dark corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoons finely grated onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Preparation

Combine ingredients in a blender and process until thoroughly blended and smooth. Sauce can be made up to 1 week in advance and refrigerated in an airtight container.
