Make any of these show-stopping desserts for Independence Day, and they might even outshine the fireworks.
No. 1: Grant’s Watermelon Ice Cream Pops
These watermelon ice cream pops are adorable and so simple to make! Just mix in some "watermelon seeds" (mini chocolate chips) into strawberry ice cream. Layer that inside a plastic wrap-lined loaf pan. Top that off with pistachio ice cream and add in some popsicle sticks. Freeze, slice, and voilà!
No. 2: Emeril Lagasse’s Banana Cream Pie With Caramel and Chocolate Drizzles
Who can say no to pie -- especially when it's Emeril's? It's been on his restaurant's menu since the day "Emeril's" opened, and it remains their signature dessert today. This cool, creamy pie is drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauces, then topped off with fresh whipped cream.
No. 3: Grant’s Strawberry Shortcake
Making this shortcake is as easy as tossing the ingredients in a food processor and dolloping dough on a baking sheet (literally). Whip these up in a pinch if you're strapped for time; they only take 15 minutes to bake! Not a fan of strawberries? No problem, use whatever berries you like.
No. 4: S’mores Nachos
We've combined two favorites: s'mores and nachos. Serve 'em to your guests straight from the sheet tray, or plate them up on a fancy platter. Either way, you're not going to want to stop eating them!
No. 5: Yigit Pura’s Berries and Cream Parfait
Upgrade your store-bought angel food cake in just minutes! To make the pastry cream taste extra special, Pura whisks together orange zest, orange flower water and vanilla chantilly cream.
No. 6: Grant’s Grilled Peaches with Whipped Cream and Honey
Dessert on the grill? Yep. Marinate peaches for a few hours in sugar, cinnamon, salt, olive oil, mint (or basil), lemon juice and zest. Place cut side down on the grill until they get those pretty grill marks, and serve them up with homemade whipped topping. Yum!
No. 7: Grant's No-Bake Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes
Our culinary buddy Grant makes this dessert in just one minute! Beat the heat and save time by using store-bought angel food cake. Check out the video to see how it's done!
No. 8: 3-Ingredient S’mores Dip
Eating s'mores in the summer months is almost like a rite of passage. Take those same three classic ingredients, and shake things up this weekend by turning them into a dip. They're just as fun to eat (and less messy too)!
