John shares a classic cocktail recipe called the Americano, which was created in a Venetian bar for Americans. 

He mixed up this drink to pair with Rach's Orecchiette with Bacon, Onion and Brussels Sprouts or Cabbage, which was also inspired by a classic Italian recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1½ ounces Campari
  • 1½ ounces sweet vermouth
  • Ice
  • Club soda
  • Orange twist, for garnish

Yield

Serves: 1

Preparation

Combine Campari and sweet vermouth in a Collins glass. Fill with ice, top with club soda and gently stir. Garnish with an orange twist.
