Camila McConaughey, mom of three, entrepreneur and Women of Today founder, is a whiz at creating fun, inexpensive and easy treats for Halloween. This pasta is dyed black to resemble dirt and then topped with "worms" made from white edible clay. Spooky!

Pro Tips from Camila: Wear plastic gloves when you mix the pasta and food coloring or else you will stain your hands for a week! Also, don't use too much oil or the food coloring won't stick to the pasta.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound whole wheat spaghetti, cooked according to package directions and drained
  • 1 ½ tablespoons each red, blue and green food coloring, mixed together in a small bowl
  • Canola oil
  • White edible clay (the kind used for cake decorating)

Yield

Serves: 4 to 6

Preparation

In a large bowl, toss together the cooked spaghetti, food coloring and a little oil with your hands (see Tip) until the pasta is black all over. If needed, add more food coloring. Transfer the pasta to a platter. Shape the edible clay into worms (as many as you like!) and place them on top of the pasta.
