Cold and flu season is here, much to the dismay of just about everyone.

By now, most of us know that washing your hands regularly and avoiding touching your face, eyes and mouth are key tips to avoid getting sick. But what are a few other ways to help prevent yourself from getting sick this season?

Dr. Travis Stork of 'The Doctors' is sharing three eye-opening tips you need to know. Check them out, below.

1.) Eat More Garlic

Some studies have shown that people who eat more garlic have fewer colds.

"I'm not sure if that's because people don't go near you after you eat garlic," Dr. Stork quips. "But it's a tip I use a lot in my own life.

2.) Brush Your Teeth

Turns out, brushing your teeth could keep both your dentist and your doctor away.

"Believe it or not: Brushing your teeth and gargling [puts] an antiseptic in your mouth, [which decreases] the amount of germs in your mouth.

3.) Use a Nasal Spray

Stork -- who has a partnership with Arm & Hammer Simply Saline Nasal Mists -- says using a nasal spray not only moisturizes your nasal passages, it washes away congestion, irritants, dirt [and] allergens.

" I spray all the time!" Stork says.
