"SNL" star Ego Nwodim didn't know how one of her sketches was going to pan out—until one host surprised her at a table read.
"You come in with an idea and then you get to know the host, and you go, 'Okay, maybe I need to alter it this way.' But sometimes hosts surprise you. I'm just thinking about having done the episode with Brendan Gleeson, and I wrote a sketch that did not make it to air, but did very well at our table read—which was him and I playing rambunctious nurses. He went there with me, and I was like, 'I didn't know Brendan had that in the tank.' So you can't sleep on the guests."
