Rachael gets caught red handed by *Law & Order's* Jesse L. Martin as she pulls a prank and pretends to charge audience members for better seats. "I was just trying to make a couple bucks!" Rachael jokes. But she chose the wrong moment. Jesse witnesses the transaction and slaps on the cuffs in what he boasts is a proud action. "I got to arrest Rachael Ray!" he exclaims after taking off her handcuffs. They then make up and take a seat at the kitchen table for Jesse's second visit to the show. He immediately realizes the location is awfully familiar. "One of my first television jobs was in this building, it might have even been on this floor," Jesse tells Rachael, recalling his days on *The Guiding Light.* It was a short-lived job, but things worked out pretty well for this actor who is enjoying his ninth year on *Law & Order.* He may be a pro now, but Jesse still remembers his first day on the set. "I'm standing there with S. Epatha Merkerson and Jerry Orbach, God rest his soul ... I was scared to death," Jesse says. "Sam Waterston actually said he thought it was cute that I got nervous." Jesse says he also gets stage fright in the kitchen, and seeks some help from Rach. "I can put together pasta," Jesse says, "but it's always mushy; it's never that 'al dente' thing everyone talks about." Rachael offers to help him out and says, "Next time you're going to entertain you call me and I'll talk you through it." This challenged cook threatens to hold her to the promise and Rachael reassures him this is one solid offer. "I don't offer everybody cooking lessons."
