Billy Crudup shares what it was like filming "The Morning Show" alongside Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell and Martin Short — and chats about how these comedic actors pulled off their more serious roles.
"Martin Short plays a director who has essentially been 'canceled' because of all the allegations of sexual misconduct throughout his career. And he and Steve [Carell's character] have a conversation where they're trying to justify it. And it is really an upsetting exchange to watch," Billy says.
"And Martin Short is expert. You expect him to be slapstick funny, but he is dark, dark, dark. It's really good. That scene is really spectacular. There's a lot of scenes like that that take you off guard."
