Pastry Chef Hosts World's Largest Bake Sale & Raises Millions in Fight Against Racism

Bakers Against Racism co-founder and award-winning pastry chef Paola Velez + bakers from all over the world came together for the world's largest bake sale in the fight against racism.

"Bakers Against Racism is an organization that fights social injustice around the globe using baked goods," Paola says. The idea behind the charity—which Paola launched in 2020 amid Black Lives Matter protests—is that individuals can come together in person or virtually and bake, sell the items and donate either a portion of the proceeds or all the proceeds to organizations in need. According to Paola, Bakers Against Racism has raised over 2.5 million dollars and counting, with the help of more than 3,000 bakers from around the globe. Amazing!
