Chef Tyler Florence has been part of the Food Network for an astounding 14 years, currently whetting viewers' appetites with *Tyler's Ultimate.* Rachael asks him if that kind of experience intimidates friends, affecting the amount of dinner invitations he receives and he says even with his culinary pedigree he's still easy to please. "Hey, I like Cheerios just like the next guy!" he jokes.
A former New Yorker now residing outside of San Francisco, Tyler explains that the California food options make it easier for cooks of any skill level to please a crowd. "I think New York City has great restaurants," he tells Rachael, "but the food in California is spectacular. So when I go over to someone's house, what they'll do is cut some fresh tomatoes and put some good olive oil on top and some salt and it's fabulous. Less is so much more when it comes to good California cooking. So it doesn't really matter what people make -- or at least I'm incredibly kind about it!"
