Vanilla Ice

In 1990, Vanilla Ice's "Ice Ice Baby" shot to the top of the charts, his debut album sold over 15 million copies, and the rapper earned a Grammy® nomination. Twenty years later, Ice is still performing (@[check out his tour dates here](http://www.vanillaice.com/tour.htm)), but also showcasing his other talent - flipping houses. On the DIY Network's *The Vanilla Ice Project,* Ice (real name Rob Van Winkle) remodels homes for resale, and says the housing market bust hasn't affected his work. "Now you can buy a house cheaper than what you could build the house for - with a short sale or a tax auction - as long as you buy it under the appraised value," he says. "You can still sell it under the appraised value where the buyer gets a good deal and you still make a profit. The market is still good ... as long as you know your market." Rachael asks Ice which profession is more profitable, rapping or turning homes. "You can make a lot of money doing anything if you put your hustle to it," he replies. **Backstage Pass!** [Ice shares three things you don't know about him!](/blogs/2010/10/19/backstage-pass-vanilla-ice/)
