When Jeni got engaged, she knew she would never be able to afford a dress for the occasion, so her best friend's mother, Lisa, volunteered to sew her a beautiful white bridal gown. But before Lisa could make the dress, she was diagnosed with lung cancer. "It was devastating. She's such a wonderful person and she's like a second mom to me," Jeni says. "I was like, 'I will figure out something. I will find a dress on sale. I would much rather you get healthy than me have a wedding dress.'" When Rachael heard this story, she just couldn't let these ladies down! So she sends in her former staffer and *Project Runway* competitor, [Kevin Christiana](/show/segments/view/rachaels-valentine-dress/), to design the perfect wedding dress. "All I wanted to do is just help this girl out and help Lisa out," Kevin says. "It was so touching." He admits it's his first wedding dress, so he's getting plenty of input from the bride before completing the dress. How does it look? "You look so beautiful!" Rachael gushes as Jeni twirls around in her elegant dress with lace trim. "It's wonderful. It's perfect," Jeni says, while thanking Kevin. "It's comfortable, it's beautiful, it's simple, it's elegant -- it's incredible." Rachael then asks for the most important detail of all -- how is Lisa feeling? "I've felt better Rachael, it's a tough time and I don't have a lot of energy," she admits as she undergoes cancer treatments. "But I feel a lot better than I did last week and I feel so grateful and so thrilled that you're doing this for Jeni." She then hands Jeni the garter belt from her own wedding so she's represented during the ceremony and they all join in for a tearful hug with Rach! To top it all off, Rachael presents Jeni with a trip for four to Disney world.
