Kids will use every trick in the book to keep secrets from their parents. Doubt your kids would ever be sneaky? Don't be so sure!
While a parent's first line of defense should always be some old-fashioned communication, private investigator @[Kathy Griffin](http://www.kgriff.com) is sharing some of the high-tech gadgets that some parents are using.
"The object is to keep your kids safe. It's not about invading their privacy, it's about making sure a stranger isn't invading theirs," says Kathy, who recommends these four products.
A Voice Activated Recorder is small enough to put anywhere. "You can hide it in your child's room, near the phone or any place in the house they hang out. It will help you keep tabs on their conversations," says Kathy.
"For parents that are going away or out for the night and are leaving your kid home alone, @[Clue Spray](http://www.advanced-intelligence.com/other.html#os001) fingerprint spray will allow parents to check up on them," Kathy says. "Just spray it on the liquor cabinet or any place kids shouldn't be going into. It's invisible and will stay on hands for more than a week. You can see if a child has the residue on their skin by running their hands under an ultra-violet light."
@[The Snoop Stick](http://www.snoopstick.com/) is a device you put into a computer's USB port and it records Internet conversations and site visits in real time. This allows for monitoring a child's computer use. "You download the software into your computer," says Kathy. "Then you can view what your child is doing and even log them off the computer if you believe they are at risk. This is something that is really useful for all parents."
The @[Landairsea Tracking Key](http://www.vehicle-tracking.com) goes on your car and monitors driving. "You can find out where your teenager is going, where they've been and how fast they were driving," says Kathy.
